Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to the True Performance Fitness website.

True Performance Fitness is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we use your information, you can contact us at:

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used and protected when you visit the True Performance Fitness website, contact us, request more information, book or request a consultation, or otherwise interact with us online.

Our website may contain links to other websites. Once you follow a link to another website, that organisation’s own privacy practices will apply.

Information You Choose to Give Us

Depending on how you use our website, you may choose to provide personal information when contacting True Performance Fitness or requesting information about our services.

This may include information such as your name, email address, telephone number and any information you choose to provide in an enquiry or consultation request.

We use this information to understand and respond to your enquiry, provide information about the services you are interested in, arrange or discuss a consultation where requested, and provide appropriate customer service.

Enquiries and Consultation Requests

The True Performance Fitness website provides a number of enquiry forms which visitors can use to find out more about our services or request or book a consultation.

When you submit one of these forms, the information you deliberately provide is used for the purpose of responding to your request and managing the resulting communication with you.

Information submitted through an enquiry form belongs to that enquiry and business process. Journey Analytics does not need to store the contents of your enquiry, such as your name, email address, telephone number or message, simply to understand your website journey.

Website Analytics and Visitor Journeys

We use website analytics and performance information to understand how people find and use our website, which services and content receive attention, how visitors move through the website and how we can improve the online experience.

True Performance Fitness uses Journey Analytics, a first-party website journey measurement system developed by apluskdesign.

Journey Analytics is designed around a simple privacy principle: understand the journey without needing to know the person.

Journey Analytics may record information about website activity including pages viewed, the order in which pages are visited, dates and times of activity, referral or traffic-source information where available, website interactions, engagement evidence and configured website events or Goals.

This can help us understand, for example, how visitors discover True Performance Fitness, which services or pages they explore, how they progress through the website and whether a journey leads towards a meaningful website action such as an enquiry or consultation request where that action is configured and reliably recorded.

Journey Analytics uses pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers to connect website activity into journeys. These identifiers allow website activity to be distinguished without requiring Journey Analytics to know a visitor’s name, email address, telephone number or other personal profile information simply for journey measurement.

Enquiry Events and Journey Analytics

Where supported, Journey Analytics may record that a website form interaction or confirmed form submission occurred as part of a visitor journey.

This allows us to understand whether website journeys contribute towards enquiries or consultation requests without Journey Analytics needing to store the personal information or message that the visitor submitted through the form simply for analytics purposes.

The information deliberately submitted through the form is processed separately as part of the enquiry or consultation process.

How Journey Analytics Recognises Website Activity

Journey Analytics uses first-party pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers to recognise activity on this website.

These identifiers are normally stored using first-party browser storage. A Journey Analytics session is currently treated as ending after 30 minutes of inactivity.

For supported form events where server-side confirmation is required, pseudonymous Journey Analytics identifiers may also be mirrored into limited first-party cookies so that a confirmed form event can be associated with the appropriate anonymous or pseudonymous visitor and session journey.

This does not require the submitted contents of the form to be stored in Journey Analytics simply to measure the journey or record the supported event.

Journey Analytics is currently configured with a data-retention target of 365 days. This is a configured retention target and may be reviewed as our website, operational requirements or privacy practices develop.

Logged-in Visitors

Journey Analytics is currently configured to exclude logged-in website users from visitor tracking on the True Performance Fitness website.

Visitors do not need to create or use a customer or member account in order to access the services and information provided through the public website.

Referral and Source Information

Where available, Journey Analytics may record ordinary referral or traffic-source information to help us understand how visitors discovered the True Performance Fitness website.

For example, when somebody follows a normal link to this website from another website, available referral information may indicate the website or source from which the visit originated.

This source information helps us understand how different websites, content and promotional activity contribute to visits without, by itself, identifying the individual visitor.

Journey Analytics and Other Analytics Services

Journey Analytics operates independently at its core and does not require Google Analytics or Google Search Console in order to provide its first-party website journey measurement.

Other analytics and search services may be used alongside Journey Analytics to provide additional context and evidence.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to help us understand website usage and performance.

Google Analytics is separate from Journey Analytics and may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about how the website is used.

Where consent is required for non-essential analytics technologies, these should be used in accordance with the choices provided through our website’s cookie and consent controls.

Information processed through Google Analytics is subject to Google’s applicable privacy and data-processing arrangements.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to understand how the True Performance Fitness website performs in Google Search.

Search Console provides aggregated information such as search queries, impressions, clicks, click-through rates and search positions.

Journey Analytics may use this aggregated Search Console information as additional search intelligence to help us understand how people discover the website and how search performance relates to website content and visitor journeys.

This aggregated Search Console information does not tell Journey Analytics that a particular named or pseudonymous visitor searched for a specific Google search query.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies for different purposes.

Some technologies may be necessary for the website to operate correctly. Other technologies, such as certain analytics technologies, may be optional and subject to visitor consent where required.

Journey Analytics primarily uses first-party browser storage containing pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers. Limited first-party identifier cookies may also be used for supported form events where server-side confirmation needs to be associated with the appropriate pseudonymous journey.

Google Analytics may use analytics cookies or similar technologies. Where consent is required for non-essential technologies, visitors are provided with appropriate choices through our website’s cookie and consent controls.

You can also manage or delete cookies and other stored website information using your browser settings.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet appropriate legal, contractual and regulatory obligations.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

Information relating to enquiries or consultation requests may be retained where reasonably necessary to respond to the request, provide ongoing service and maintain appropriate business records.

Journey Analytics is currently configured with a data-retention target of 365 days.

How We Protect Information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse.

These measures include the use of encrypted website connections and appropriate controls over access to personal information.

No method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so our systems, services and practices should be reviewed as the website and business develop.
